The Curious Case of Even and Odd

Pavel will talk about Euler's problem (islands and bridges), then about graphs in general. Pavel will walk the audience through this tricky looking problem with a surprisingly simple and elegant solution, which doesn't require writing complicated equations, nor doing calculations. 

Pavel Lemnitskiy

Pavel graduated as a mathematician from Saint-Petersburg State University (Russia) where he specialized in in Fundamental Algebra and Numbers Theory. Pavel has worked with gifted kids since his university years, running Math circles and Summer Math Camps and judging regional and national Math Olympiads in Russia. Pavel has been running Math groups for gifted kids in Australia since 2016, first in Russian, later in English. Pavel is a member of Mensa Queensland.
